Champagne - €450,000 trunk collection.

I have not tasted wine so far. How will it taste-sweet, sour or bitter?

Or will it taste...? Oh, no matter. Forget it! Champagnes are not available in India; may be one can find it in 5 start hotels bar.

Under this scenario, if I am approached by a total stranger extending an invitation to attend a champagne party, what will be my reaction?

I was speechless initially and at the same time a bit apprehensive.

I showed the stranger a photograph I collected some time ago from the Internet just to show that I have some knowledge about wine. (what a vanity! ) It is said to be wine trunk that consists of the following:

* Two packs of poker cards made by ‘Bee’

*Five casino dice and 200 professional 11g chips

*Two bottles of Krug Grande Cuvée

*A collection of bar essentials including four Baccarat crystal glasses, a Krug stopper and a Krug champagne cooler designed exclusively by François Bauchet.

And all these are housed in a fine red calfskin leather casket.

Home bar equipments.

We were a bit amused watching a trainee bartender in a all woman's pub. It is not exactly an all woman's pub but certain days are earmarked exclusively for women.

The trainee bartender was a young girl, obviously out of school hardly a week ago. But on top of the bar counter, she had everything she needed that includes a shaker, ice bucket, stirrer and all that.

We did not mind at all when she glanced at us apologetically. We glanced back conveying that we understood.

Everyone has to start anew sometime in their life-isn't it?
