To breathe clean air....

To breathe clean air that is free from various polluting particles, you need not go to a secluded spot in a hill. You can enjoy fresh and clean air in the cozy comfort of your home itself by using an air filter.

Air is polluted even before it enters our homes. And it gets further contaminated by the dust, heat and grime of our home.

We may not realize the importance of breathing clean air as long as we are healthy. But the residual harmful effects of breathing polluted air will slowly surface at an advanced age.

Cordless floor dryer.

This is an era of cordless gadgets. Everyone loves any instrument that is operable without the annoying clusters of cords.

If you care to look behind your PC, you will not like the look of it. Wires will criss cross each other, find ways to tangle themselves that makes our cleaning job very difficult.

If you see a board that says, "The paint is wet, don't touch", what will you do? You will of course touch to check whether it is still wet.

Like that, if a board says, "Wet floor, be careful", our reaction will be to check with our foot whether it is dry now.

Here is a new Floor Dryer that has no cords attached to it. It runs on battery that is said to last up to 12 hours. It warns us of a wet floor.

Here is picture of it.

If you click on this link, you will see it in action.

Non contact thermometer.

It is a common knowledge that mercury expands when heated but to measure our body temperature, we need only to touch the bulb of the thermometer in which the mercury is kept.

When it senses our body temperature, the mercury expands over a scaled glass tube indicating our body temperature.

But now, there is a thermometer that measures temperature with out any contact. It is a Infra Red Thermometer.

It is capable of measuring temperatures from 20 to 4000 degrees C. It is a German Product.

This bird feeder can feed six birds at a time.

Prompted by husband who is an avid bird watcher (he is very amateurish of course), I am writing about this bird feeder.

The specialty of this feeder is you can stuff three different kinds of feeds for three different types of birds.

For each feed, this feeder has two ports thereby enabling six birds to feed on at the same time. It is my husband's ardent wish to keep a bird feeder, a bird bath and a few perches for birds but we don't have a garden!

Features:

Metal top, bottom, and ports protect from squirrel damage.

The clear seed tube lets you monitor seed level with just a glance.

Top-filling seed tube is made of easy to clean plastic.

Large two pound seed capacity means less frequent filling.

Comes completely assembled and ready to hang from metal hanger.

I like the last feature more as that is less demanding.razz

This is a product of Petco.

Aromatherapy with a pen.

Aromatherapy-the much hyped alternate healing method in the western countries is an ageless healing method in India. When I mentioned 'ageless', I meant it goes back to ancient times.

Even now, our villagers will enthrall you with strange smelling herbs that will cure several pains and aliments.

Here is a novelty product that is invented with pure imagination. It is a pen that writes with one end and the with other end, it emits soothing fragrance made of Swiss Oils.

This aromatherapy pen comes in seven different fragrances that include lavender, eucalyptus, rose, mint, grapefruit, orange and ginger.

This is a Lavender pen. The cost is $49.95.

The website also sells essential aromatic oil refills.

Solid Plastic Combo Desk.

Just a glance at this desk for students and I made up mind for it. This desk will ideally suit my class room because, students come straight from their schools with arms and back full of loads including their empty lunch box. (smile)

This solid plastic combo desk (?) seems sturdy to me that can withstand rough usage and heavy weights. Yes, there are quite a number of fat students in my class.

The rectangular writing surface offers students plenty of room for their textbooks, papers and other learning materials. This school desk is supported by a heavy-duty tubular steel frame.

But how do I get them delivered at my doorstep in Madras, India?

No, no sugar please, only seasoned stirrers.

Innovative concept! The product as well as the headline of this blog can be called innovative and effective respectively.

Well, you read the headline and that made you certainly curious to find out how a seasoned stirrer can replace the taste of the sugar!

These wooden stirrers are seasoned with extra flavour that will desist you from reaching out for a couple of cubes of sugar for your coffee, tea or hot cocoa.

Rightly called 'Minglirs', they are an easy way to stir in some flavor while leaving out milk, sugar, and pricey latte budgets.

Callison's are offering a range flavoured minglirs such as cinnamon and peppermint.

For making a hot cup of tea, use Elixstirs and you can skip the sugar still retaining the flavor.
Those who call themselves as teetotalers just because they don't drink coffee or tea, can't resist the fragrance of cocoa emanating from a hot cup of drinking chocolate.

For them, the minglirs add a hint of flavor beyond the chocolate that will faintly remind you of peppermint or cinnamon.

Make a real fast breakfast.

Do away with clumsy flours and batters. Here comes can ready with instant batter and it is aptly named 'Batter Blaster'.

We can make fluffy and yummy pancakes in a matter of minutes without handling a gram of flour. In a demo video in their website, I saw a woman make a pancake by just pointing the nozzle of the can and pressing it all the while when she poured it in the shape of a circle.

We can also make waffles with Batter Blaster. There are few mouth watering recipes that I read in the website that include Pumpkin pancake, Banana and Nutella pancake and more.

We Indians can make delicious 'Dosa' I suppose. I am not sure but I will make an inquiry.
